Hello, my name is Frank. I started my website in 2004 to show walks and views, in the Wigan area, where I live. Now it includes some holiday trips.

In 2011, I started Blue Sky Walkers. We do trips on canals, hills and reservoirs on the periphery of Greater Manchester, typically walking 5 miles on Wednesdays and Saturdays. For info, send me an email.

It always feels good out in the fresh air, sampling local towns or countryside - from Wigan to the West Lancs Moors to Wherever. Just stop and look at all the fascinating stuff out there - people, views, buildings and wildlife.  You will be amazed at the variety of wildlife, birds and insects even as close as your back garden.

All photos were taken with my very own Nikon Coolpix 2000 digital camera.  Those featuring my ugly mush were taken by one of my many beautiful assistants!

First up is me and Meg - now sadly gone to Dog Heaven.  I've still got my blue fleece, well, it is real comfy.

Having been brought up in Liverpool, I decided to add a Liverpool page - well, one good river, two Cathedrals, Three Graces... and two decent football teams (Everton and Tranmere Rovers).
